What I love about working with light and color is its simplicity and accessibility. It is such a wonderful medium that is deeply rooted in the human perception and free from intellectual „barriers“: Only through the contrast of dark and light we can value the existence of everything in between and stimulate our visual senses.

How every light always casts a shadow, it is this duality that makes life mysterious and so much fun to explore endlessly. The iteration of time, we perceive so differently as we age, the relativity of speed we see in nature as plants grow „slowly“: while the world stands still although the universe around us moves at the speed of light.

Controlling the wavelenghts and modulating the pulse-width of LEDs that lead to different colors and brightness for the frequency of our human eyes makes me indefinitely curious about the possibility and limits of physics, which for me connects philosophically to life through art.
